Dog-friendly places in Camp Pendleton South?

I grew up here but left for a while. The unemployment rate is 5.3%, which is about average. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. Would love some local perspective. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is weather. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've been living here for 12 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The nightlife is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to Charlotte it's excellent.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Phoenix about 11 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Decent public transit for the size
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Dating scene is rough
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are stable, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 1 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..
