Camp Springs is underrated, change my mind

Hey folks, I'm single, late 50s, and With a population of 22,174, Camp Springs is a small town. Poverty rate is 4.9%, which is pretty low. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 7 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the Highland side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if pet-friendliness matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Happy to answer more specific questions..
