Curious what people think. I'm a 24-year-old marketing manager and Poverty rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $1,550,000, which is pretty steep. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Would love some local perspective.

My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is dating scene. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want nightlife, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Denver about 12 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are growing, gas is decent.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I have mixed feelings honestly.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value housing market, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely challenging and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Springfield) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. safety is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a social worker who relocated here from Baltimore about 1 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The housing market is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.
