Rent in Campbelltown getting crazy

Anyone else feel this way? My family moved here when I was a kid. You can expect to pay around $1,647 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 5,759 people. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. Household incomes average around $96,250 in Campbelltown. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. Appreciate any input. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Raleigh about 15 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are established, gas is underrated.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Feel free to reach out with questions..
