Anyone else feel this way? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is weather. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Worth doing your research before committing.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I love the pace of life here. Internet is excellent in most areas.

I've been living here for 8 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The cost of living is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in East area are hit or miss. Kids love it here.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a project manager, 43, moved here 6 years ago from Dallas. I've lived in Meadowbrook and Greenfield, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Friendly community, easy to meet people
2. Good internet infrastructure
3. Close to major attractions
4. The people are generally average - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Traffic during rush hour is rough
2. Road conditions need improvement
3. The healthcare situation is pricey and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Meadowbrook: Great for singles. hit or miss vibes, walkable.
- Greenfield: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Dallas, everything felt solid. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are wild. Gas is wild. You can live comfortably on $100K-$100K here.
**Final verdict:**
Good luck with whatever you decide.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is outdoor recreation. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
