Affordable areas near Canton?
Hey folks, Household incomes average around $81,642 in Canton. Is this normal for Canton?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a social worker who relocated here from Chicago about 15 years ago. The main reasons were school and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Road conditions need improvement
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are developing, gas is tough.
Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
