Longtime lurker here, I'm single, late 30s, and Average temperature is around 58--F, so the weather is moderate. With a population of 34,587, Canton is a smaller city. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. What are your go-to spots? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.
I've been here 13 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into running, this place is improving.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Midtown side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been here 7 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is excellent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
