Hey everyone, I grew up here but left for a while. Household incomes average around $81,642 in Canton. With a population of 34,587, Canton is a smaller city. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Am I overthinking this?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a nurse who relocated here from Tampa about 3 years ago. The main reasons were school and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is challenging.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I work in hospitality here and it's been a really good experience overall. The job market for my field is tough. Feel free to reach out with questions..
