What to expect moving to Canton?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but My family moved here when I was a kid. You can expect to pay around $1,592 for rent here. Average temperature is around 58--F, so the weather is moderate. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 12 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I'm a marketing manager and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. safety used to be much established but now it's hit or miss.
