Working remotely from Carencro

I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Median household income is $70,217, which feels about average for the area. You can expect to pay around $924 for rent here. Homes are going for about $211,200 on average. The median home value here is around $211,200, which is actually reasonable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Let me know your thoughts. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to.

Moved here from San Diego about 13 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to cost of living but No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Raleigh about 1 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are growing, gas is excellent.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
