Most overrated things about Caribou

Hey everyone, With a population of 7,427, Caribou is a small town. Poverty rate is 5.5%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. Am I overthinking this? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 10 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the Highland side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 9 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Used to live on the Pine Hills side, now on the Uptown side. Completely different vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
