OK so Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. Median household income is $63,826, which feels about average for the area. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Would love some local perspective.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in East. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in finance. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Bought a house here in 2019 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

I'm a writer and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community is decent and there's always something going on.
