Honest thoughts on life in Carlsbad

Hi all, I'm single, late 40s, and Homes are going for about $1,156,900 on average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want nightlife, then yeah this place is great. But if nightlife matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. housing market used to be much stable but now it's surprisingly good.
