Housing in Carlsbad compared to Atlanta

Curious what people think. I'm a teacher here and With a population of 31,813, Carlsbad is a smaller city.

Bought a house here in 2020 and I have mixed feelings honestly. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 15 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

The food scene here is hit or miss. Tons of great farm-to-table places. I genuinely enjoy living here.
