Worst things about Carmel-by-the-Sea nobody talks about
Alright, Crime rate is something to consider -Carmel-by-the-Sea sits at 403.3 per 100K. Homes are going for about $2,000,001 on average. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Thoughts? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

As someone who grew up here, it's been a really good experience overall. A lot has changed in the past few years though. safety used to be much competitive but now it's tough.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is decent in most areas.

Used to live on the Lakewood side, now on the Springfield side. Completely different vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here.
