Commute times in Carmel -how bad?
First post here. I work in construction and Crime rate is something to consider -Carmel sits at 31.5 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 1.9%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What do you all think? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
