Things Carmel needs to improve

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Crime rate is something to consider -Carmel sits at 31.5 per 100K. Average temperature is around 55--F, so expect cold winters. Poverty rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $455,500 on average. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I overthinking this? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I'd watch out for is outdoor recreation. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..
