Hey, My partner and I are The median home value here is around $541,500, which is pretty steep. Average temperature is around 61--F, so the weather is moderate. Homes are going for about $541,500 on average. It's a a smaller city city with about 78,070 people. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Would love some local perspective. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

I work in legal here and it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market for my field is pretty good. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The community vibe is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (Downtown) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Tampa, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Can feel isolated.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
