Hey everyone, Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Old Town. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in retail. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.
Definitely worth checking out..

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Westside. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.
People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is school system. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.
I've been here 12 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is solid.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
