Not sure if this has been asked before, but I work in government and It's a a smaller city city with about 28,624 people. Rent is about $1,786/month for a decent place. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
