Best neighborhoods to rent in Carnot-Moon?

Hello, I'm a teacher here and Poverty rate is 1.5%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $1,178 for rent here. Rent is about $1,178/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $256,600, which seems about average. It's a a small town city with about 13,639 people. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Nice parks and trails
- Low taxes
- Strong sense of community
- Active local events

Cons:
- Hot summers
- Cold winters
- Limited dining options
- Mosquitoes and humidity
It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I've lived in Fairview for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Lots of new development happening
- The traffic scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. No regrets on my end..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely challenging and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Baltimore, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Limited shopping options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to San Diego it's challenging.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The community vibe is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..
