Been meaning to ask this. With a population of 26,373, Carolina Forest is a smaller city. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Worth the trade-offs? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is food scene. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are average, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
