How is Carpentersville for outdoor activities?

Hey everyone, I grew up here but left for a while. With a population of 37,544, Carpentersville is a smaller city. Poverty rate is 10.0%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $1,420 for rent here. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's exactly what I was looking for. Compared to New York it's challenging.

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much wild but now it's better than expected.
