Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. What are your go-to spots? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Came here for school and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The healthcare is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've lived in Eastside for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Decent public transit for the size
- The cost of living scene is tough
The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Dating scene is rough
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
