Remote worker thinking about Carrollton

Been meaning to ask this. I grew up here but left for a while. Rent is about $1,067/month for a decent place. It's a a smaller city city with about 27,058 people. The unemployment rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. With a population of 27,058, Carrollton is a smaller city. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I wrong here? Appreciate any input. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.
