Things that make Carrollton unique

Hey everyone, You can expect to pay around $1,067 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Carrollton sits at 434.5 per 100K. Average temperature is around 61--F, so the weather is moderate. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What would you do? The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I've lived in East for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- The outdoor recreation scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. Hope this helps!.
