What surprised you most about Carrollton?

Hello, I'm a teacher here and Rent is about $920/month for a decent place. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Thoughts? The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
