Best areas to explore in Carson?

Hey everyone, I'm a college student here and Homes are going for about $645,600 on average. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Let me know your thoughts. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Chicago about 3 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are stable, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Public transit is pretty good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.
