Hey, Just moved here 10 months ago and Crime rate is something to consider -Carson sits at 482.9 per 100K. Poverty rate is 6.3%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.

I'm a real estate agent and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.

I've lived in The Heights for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- The food scene scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Property taxes are high
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The food scene is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Hot take but there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. I know a lot of people disagree but after 11 years here, that's my honest assessment.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The dating scene scene is average
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for couples. Definitely worth checking out..
