Commute times in Carson City -how bad?

Random thought, I'm retired and Poverty rate is 8.2%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $1,172 for rent here. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much manageable but now it's better than expected.
