Best apartments in Carteret under ?

Random thought, I'm a college student here and The unemployment rate is 5.6%, which is about average. You can expect to pay around $2,012 for rent here. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Uptown. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in education. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 10 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
