Hey, I work in engineering and Homes are going for about $153,100 on average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Would love some local perspective. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Highland. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in legal. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Italian.
