Studio apartments in Caruthersville -options?

Anyone else feel this way? Born and raised here. The unemployment rate is 3.8%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $118,700, which is actually reasonable. Poverty rate is 25.7%, which is higher than I expected. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Would love some local perspective. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in Old Town area are improving. Kids love it here.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in West. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Definitely worth checking out..

I'm a chef and I've found the quality of life is solid. The community is average and there's always something going on.
