Casa Grande quality of life -am I missing something?
My partner and I are Homes are going for about $258,200 on average. Average temperature is around 72--F, so it's warm year-round. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I overthinking this? The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Old Town for 7 years. Moved from Tampa for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is surprisingly good. We bought in 2022 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.
**Employment:**
construction is strong here. education is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are established for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is decent - we have mountains within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Old Town schools are improving. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited public transit options. Not very walkable outside downtown. And cost of living can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 7/10. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Close to major attractions
- The community vibe scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Can feel isolated
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.
I've been here 9 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is decent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
