Most overrated things about Casa Grande

Hey folks, We have two kids and Household incomes average around $66,354 in Casa Grande. With a population of 57,590, Casa Grande is a smaller city. The unemployment rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 57,590 people. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Worth the trade-offs? TIA! There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Sunset) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Raleigh, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Bought a house here in 2017 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone about the same since then.
