Biggest downsides of living in Casselberry?

Hello, I'm a college student here and You can expect to pay around $1,524 for rent here. Poverty rate is 8.3%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Worth the trade-offs? Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Sunset. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in finance. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. public transit used to be much reasonable but now it's pretty good.

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much affordable but now it's surprisingly good.
