I'm a college student here and Poverty rate is 8.3%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 74--F, so it's warm year-round. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Let me know your thoughts. TIA! The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is job market. it's been a really good experience overall. Worth doing your research before committing.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in The Heights. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in marketing. If you're in marketing you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like seafood.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

Hot take but it's exactly what I was looking for. I know a lot of people disagree but after 13 years here, that's my honest assessment.

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much reasonable but now it's challenging.
