Raising a family in Castle Pines -thoughts?

Hey folks, Been living here since 2016. Median household income is $189,918, which feels pretty solid for the area. Rent is about $2,128/month for a decent place. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Worth the trade-offs? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Came here for cost of living and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The weather is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's been a really good experience overall. The only thing I'd watch out for is dating scene. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Greenfield. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in tech. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Hope this helps!.
