Unpopular opinion about Castle Pines

Random thought, I'm single, late 50s, and Rent is about $2,128/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $827,900 on average. Median household income is $189,918, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Castle Pines sits at 43.4 per 100K. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. What are your go-to spots? Thanks for reading. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to Austin it's solid.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want dating scene, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Old Town for 13 years. Moved from Seattle for quality of life. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is decent. We bought in 2020 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.

**Employment:**
consulting is strong here. legal is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's been a really good experience overall. The outdoor scene is better than expected - we have ski resorts within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Old Town schools are improving. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Summers can be brutally hot. Property taxes are high. And dating scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 6/10. Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
