Most overrated things about Castle Rock

Hello, Born and raised here. It's a a smaller city city with about 76,614 people. Rent is about $1,946/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 3.3%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $621,700 on average. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Am I wrong here? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Came here for retirement and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The outdoor recreation is honestly hit or miss and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
