Raising a family in Castle Rock -thoughts?

Born and raised here. Poverty rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $143,031 in Castle Rock. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I overthinking this? Thanks for reading. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. I've lived in Lakewood for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Four distinct seasons
- The cost of living scene is improving

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
