Random thought, I grew up here but left for a while. With a population of 65,389, Castro Valley is a smaller city. Crime rate is something to consider -Castro Valley sits at 394.6 per 100K. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Any advice would be great. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.
