Is it worth buying in Castro Valley?

I'm retired and The unemployment rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

The food scene here is average. Tons of great Vietnamese places. it's been a really good experience overall.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is better than expected in most areas.
