What Castroville does better than anywhere else

Longtime lurker here, I'm single, late 20s, and Crime rate is something to consider -Castroville sits at 282.5 per 100K. Household incomes average around $90,486 in Castroville. The median home value here is around $648,700, which is pretty steep. Homes are going for about $648,700 on average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 4 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to Boston it's surprisingly good.
