Poverty rate is 2.5%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $604,100 on average. It's a a smaller city city with about 51,756 people. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Thoughts? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 11 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in Fairview area are underrated. Kids love it here.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Eastside. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Definitely worth checking out..
