Relocating to Cathedral City, CA -pros and cons?

Been meaning to ask this. I'm retired and Household incomes average around $67,031 in Cathedral City. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
