Not sure if this has been asked before, but Rent is about $1,224/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $296,700 on average. With a population of 26,014, Cave Spring is a smaller city. Household incomes average around $85,314 in Cave Spring. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cheers. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a contractor who relocated here from San Diego about 15 years ago. The main reasons were family and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Affordable housing options
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Homeless population growing downtown
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are reasonable, gas is underrated.
Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.
I've been here 15 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is challenging.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Bought a house here in 2022 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Boston about 1 years ago. The main reasons were weather and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Four distinct seasons
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are growing, gas is tough.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Happy to answer more specific questions..
