Cazenovia is underrated, change my mind

Hey everyone, Military spouse here. Crime rate is something to consider -Cazenovia sits at 231.5 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 2,760 people. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. Anyone in a similar situation? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely underrated and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Nashville, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Not a lot of cultural diversity.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
