Cedar City is underrated, change my mind

Alright, Been living here since 2020. Crime rate is something to consider -Cedar City sits at 276.7 per 100K. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Does this match your experience? Any help is appreciated. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to San Diego it's tough.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if cost of living matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 3 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
