It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Seattle about 7 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals
Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Road conditions need improvement
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are competitive, gas is better than expected.
Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
